Similarities - Posture - Both of the models have the same posture but have a different camera angle for each one. The shot is a mid-shot for both of the photos, I done this type of shot to capture is upper body gesture and posture. Lighting - Both of the lighting gives the shadow affect to hit the wall to make it stand out from the rest of the magazine photos.
Both of the models for the magazine are looking directly at the camera to make it more direct to the audience.

Differences - Posture - The model for the real artist is more relaxed than the model for my magazine as he is holding the guitar and focusing on both what instrument he plays and the artist. Costume - The real magazine picture is wearing a suit jacket and trousers but a normal T-shirt whereas my magazine photo is more for pop and that kind of costume represents pop whereas as suit represents more of a rock magazine.
